Great decision to switch to Step Up Disposals! We recently switched from the "big" waste disposal company to Step Up and couldn't be happier. I'm sticking with Step-Up even though the City of Fort Collins thought it would be a good idea to contract with Republic, who is of course majority-owned by BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street, and start charging an extortion fee of $11.10 if you opt-out of service with them. If you're against big corporations and you didn't opt out you're kind of a hypocrite. If you average it throughout the year, even with the extortion fee, I'm still saving $4 per month by using Step-Up and I get to actually speak with a real person on the phone, I get a trash service that doesn't leave my bins tipped over after they spill half the debris on the roadway, billing is a breeze, and I'm not sending money out-of-state into the pockets of billionaires. If you "support local business" then use a local service. If you continue with Republic don't be surprised when your service starts to become subpar, which it already was, which is why no one used them until they bought out Gallegos and paid off local politicians to mandate their service. Shame on Colorado Legislators for passing such a ridiculous law, shame on the Fort Collins Commissioners and Council members for enforcing it, and props to Step-Up for offering great service at a cheaper price. You can save another $33.30 by waiting until 11:59pm on September 30th to opt-out, if not they'll start billing you right away.

Starting service was easy and seamless. I received my containers within a day and service information and a calendar with the collection dates via email. They haven't missed a day. When I first started using the service, I emailed their office with a question. Beth responded to me within a few hours. I recently had a question, and again, my question was answered within a few hours. Their collection service is fantastic, and the cost is less, even with recycling, a service we were unable to get before. Contacting our old trash service was an exercise in futility. Step Up Disposals is just a great company to work with. And a local company. I think I've covered everything, but if I haven't, whatever the question, the answer is the same: great company.

They're a much more affordable option and their customer service is top notch. Today I saw their driver in our neighborhood stop in front of a house that had forgotten to bring the bins to the end of the driveway. We have used another local residential disposal company for almost 20 years, but once it got bought out by a corporation it seemed that all the personal service was dropped. They stopped coming up on snowy days so we'd lose a week of service, and sometimes they just didn't show up at all. I absolutely love the fact when I call the number provided I instantly get a kind friendly human being ti talk to. Unlike our last dumpster service you had to push 200 numbers to more then likely get sent to voice mail. Which was normally never returned till the week after. The owner personally dropped our dumpster off. He was so kind and apologized about not getting it up into our drive way all the way (we live in the mountains and the mud is awful this time of year) and ensured he'd be back to fix it. Prices are seriously amazing as well. We also received lids with our dumpster and were not charged an extra fee! 1000/10 recommend!

The company I am an office manager for has used Step Up for Roll Offs multiple times and has never had any issues. I am currently using them for a 20 yard roll off at my own home and greatly appreciate the responsiveness of the office staff, simplicity of setting up and paying for the service, and automated reminders for drop off. The driver placed the roll off exactly where I needed it and was very sweet to my kids, waving at them and even responding when they shouted excitedly at him. I would 100% reccomend this company. Bonus points for being locally owner and operated!
